Day of Ash: Deadpool Friday

Today is a fun day. I almost couldn’t sleep, and Ash could tell something is up. If he really could comprehend, he would know it’s Deapool this afternoon. Decided that for V-Day, Julie and I would celebrate early, and go out on a movie and dinner date.

Got prepped for work and headed out the door, Ash decided he didn’t have to do anything and just wanted to get in the car. At which point, he slept for 2 hours. He has become such a wonderful car dog in that respect.

When we got to work, Ash grabbed his dinochew and laid down next to me He was a bit confused, as I think he has learned there are no meetings in the morning, but he could tell I was antsy for some reason.

Eventually, he gave up on me and got in his spot under the desk and fell asleep. Which he stayed in for the most part. That is until “the Marine” got in, and wanted to say hello to Ash. Ash got out, stretched, and then he and got some scratches, before coming back and laying down.

At around 11:00AM I hit my 4 hour mark for the day, and started packing up. This got an odd look from Ash, and he started randomly grabbing things to hand me. After I calmed myself, he calmed down and realized I was trying to get him to pack up so we could go. On the way out, the boss man happened to be at the door waiting to head out to his lunch. I did a quick update of the work I got done, which actually turned out to be more than I even realized, and he was happy, which meant I could actually leave.

Leave we did. Probably one of the fastest times I made getting home.

Julie swapped FISH’s pack out for his new purple pack, as all the dogs got some romp time out. I cleaned up the car some so Julie even had a place to sit.

We got to the mall almost 2 hours early, just to find that the theater box office doesn’t even open until 30 minutes before the movie.

They did have taped off areas though for two lines. One to get tickets, and one for people who already have tickets.

So we sat down and waiting. In the middle of the mall’s food court area.

Now, as Julie is with us, that means FISH is with us. White fluffy dog. Which just makes the public interfere with us even more.

At one point, with us sitting in the most uncomfortable chairs ever (not really, but they sucked), a couple little kids started rushing towards us after getting out of the hallway the bathrooms for the mall are in. I smiled and shook my head. The kids stopped, smiled at me, and turned back around and ran to their mom. Who promptly said; “Doncha be tellin’ ma kids off!”

*sigh*

I just give her my look, and as she turns around to rush away, it slips out of my mouth; “Excuse me?!”

Her friend that was with her turned around to ask if I said something, and I smiled and said I did, but it wasn’t directed at her. It was the other one. The friend was actually being friendly about it, while the one who tried to say I told her kids off was rushing away yet playing tough by saying “They shouldn’t have dogs in here in the first place.”

No you sad excuse for a redneck mallrat… You should be teaching your kids not to rush strange dogs, in the first place. No matter where they are.

Thankfully, that did cause most of the people around us to stop asking to pet the dogs and still they seemed to understand. They smiled and a few even talked to us a little. A couple of guys who were in line with us had to be told it’s ok to get near us, and that made them laugh. We chuckled, and the rest was pretty good.

Even better when…

They opened up the box office a few minutes early so we could get our tickets and move over to the other line.

While waiting in the second line, Julie and I kept thinking we didn’t need to be so early. That was when suddenly the ticket line backed up, and the line we sat in got longer and longer. A few people not understand there was even a line to get in, and eventually they got the hint.

I had Julie rush, as fast as she could, into the seating, while I got the concessions. That is when I got the text message from her about the fact this theater’s seating, sucks.

Yet, it was still ok. Ash wasn’t all that impressed, but he laid down and took advantage of the carpet. FISH was in his normal spot under Julie’s legs, and the movie started.

I could go on and on about the movie, but I don’t think I can do it with out giving spoilers away, and I feel it’s too early in the showing to do that. What I will say is: 1. Ash even watched some of it. 2. Julie liked it and she doesn’t like comedies normally. 3. She agrees firmly that we are getting this to watch at home as soon as possible.

It was that good. Go see it. Help support a sequel.

Oh, and if you wouldn’t let your children see 50 Shades of Grey, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS FILM!

After the movie, we headed to our favorite sushi place which happens to be in the mall as well. It was, PACKED. The wait staff was all discombobulated and the customers did not help this. I don’t think they expected a rush on this day.

It took some time, but we finally got a table. I think because another “party” got annoyed and just left.

Of course, this means I get the “Can I has sushi?!” look from under the table.

Dinner, while slow, was amazing.Day of Ash: Deadpool Firday

Ash kept looking up at me, which was odd. That is until I realized he was alerting me to the actions of the table next to us.

The young ladies at the table next to us insisted on taking a picture of FISH. They tried to hide doing it as well. Yet, I wasn’t having any of that. I leaned over and told them they had to send me a copy of it.

They texted it to me, and had this “Oh gawd I think he’s a creeper!” look the whole time. I’m glad it made them uncomfortable, because it’s kind of a creeper action to sneak pictures of people in the first place. Yet, to make them feel at ease, once I saved the picture to my phone, I actively showed the young lady me deleting her text including her contact information.

I will admit, it is nice to get candid shots from a view we don’t see.

The rest of the night was relaxing, and over all a good evening.

Tomorrow is errands and game day.
