Day of Ash: Freaky Friday

So did not want to get up this morning. It’s Friday, and I didn’t sleep well. Ash on the other hand is being his normal freaky self.  Poking at me, jumping on and off the bed, even at one point digging his head under me trying to push me up.

Finally got myself moving and out the door. If it wasn’t for Ash being so persistent, I might have forgotten him. Sleep stumbling my way to the car, Ash runs off to do his thing, but then sees me sway. Suddenly he is at my side and pushing to keep me upright. Then he runs off to do his thing.

Drive in, I slugged down my coffee and while that woke me up, it made me realize I didn’t do my business.

Got into work, and didn’t even wait around to put the pack on. I let Ash use the fire hydrant right on the corner, and then rushed upstairs. The papers didn’t even arrive yet, but I had my own personal emergency going on.

Ash of course, did his job the whole way. Making sure I didn’t fall, and he almost seemed to know where we were going. He only made one direction change that wasn’t right, and as he felt the leash go slack, he quickly adjusted.

After that pit stop, in which he stayed out of the way, and yet ready, we got to the desk. I decided that since we do not have our morning meetings on Friday, I took his pack off.

That started the office zoomies for a little bit. Sadly, I missed the zoomies, but did get him picking his toy up and putting it on the table.

Rest of the day was a lazy day, as there are no meetings on Friday, normally.

On our way out though, I was stopped by some of the ladies in the office who have been wanting to say hello to Ash.

So I stopped, sat down in a chair, and took his pack of. He got a lot of love from them, and he enjoyed it.

The rest of the day is pretty normal.

I did stop and picked up mexican food from a local restaurant on my way home. Left Ash in the car, as it was short walk, and he stood there staring at me through the window. Sadly, that food was horrible, but didn’t figure that out until I was home.

When got home, he took my metal coffee thermos that he hates to carry all the way in and poked Julie until she took it. She was on the phone and ignoring him.

At some point though, he must of slammed up against the back door rushing out to be with the other dogs, because he now has a lump behind his left shoulder on the side. Has me very concerned, but it is starting to go down in swelling.

The really bad part, is if the swelling is not down enough by Monday, I will end up having to try and go to work with out him.

I do not like this idea.

Day of Ash: Freaky Friday

He doesn’t seem phased by the bump at least.
