Day of Ash: Manic Monday

This morning, Julie and I walked around the house looking for my thermos because she was convinced that I was correct on the day of the event, and not really awake herself. Ash sat looking at the puppies the whole time, while we acted all manic going “Where is it?!”

I get out to my car, and Ash hops in and puts his paw on the thermos and just looks at me. Yeah, I’m an idiot.

In the morning, still being all manic about getting to work, we quickly did the routine with out the papers and got upstairs.

I filled the water bottle, and when I went to get the normal soda, Ash grabbed the bottle and decided to carry it himself. Which is nice, as it’s bigger and heavier than the soda.

During lunch, we stopped by the cubes where a bunch of co-workers are that have wanted to say hello to Ash and I took his pack off for a little bit. He was in heaven, and they kept saying things like “Having Ash here in the office completes our family.”

Which made the fact I had an interview later even more conflicting.

While packing up to go, Ash kept rubbing his head against my hand with the hat. Being silly, I popped it onto his head.

He sat like this, tail wagging, while I fought with my phone a good three minutes.

When we got home, Ash ran inside and the normal night routine started. This time though, he finished his dinner, so he got to say hello to the puppies.

We decided to let him go into the puppy area under supervision of Julie and the momma.

Which of course led to lots of puppy kisses.

He was in heaven again.

At one point he was attempting to play a bit instead of sniffing and kissing.

He was his normal gentle giant through the whole thing. The momma was a very watchful through the whole thing, but only grumbled once, and that was when Ash tried to kiss her.

After a bit of this we said it was bed time, and as he had puppies he was all amped up, so we had some play time. Which consisted of him and the others running around the house and jumping up onto the bed.

Yes, FISH looks evil here, but he was just playing Ash was puzzled on why I wasn’t playing paw with him as I took the picture.

Tomorrow will be a fun day, I think.
