Day of Ash: Late Saturday

I know I am late on the updates. The weekends are really busy for Ash and myself, and then Sunday I am just dead to the world. So this update is a recap of the weekend.

The morning started off decently. Ash was a bit down in the morning, as I wasn’t moving fairly fast. To the point, I think he forgot we had errands to do. So when I went out the front door and told him to get out there with me, the zoomies started in full force.

After a bit of that we hit the road.

On the way there we ended up at a stop light that took longer than it should have. It took me a bit to realize why, and then I saw it. The Trump fan club on the corner kept hitting the cross walk button. Which apparently actually does something for that one. I kept seeing the stop hand blink, and then go back to the walking symbol.

Even Ash was not impressed with this.

Of course, since I was sitting at a traffic light, I took a few snaps.

At one point I think they noticed people starting to get annoyed. The moved closer to the fire hydrant and stopped hitting the button.

We got to the mail box after that fairly quickly.

Which of course got me the “You are leaving me here, idiot.” look.

Then we hit the Raising Cane’s and Jack in the Box to get dinner and lunch to take home. As I said last week, it’s my guilty pleasure of the mail run.

Ash didn’t get out of the car for the trip, as the only place I got out for was the mail box, but he got to say hello to the drive thru workers.

When we got home, as I said last weekend. It became bath time. Now, I would like to say I gave him a bath, but I didn’t. I started it, even got him full soaped up and maybe quarter rinsed on the first run. Then my back said no.

Julie gets the credit for the actual bath though. She took over for me and got him washed the rest of the way. Then brought him outside for me so I could dry him.

Drying is “easy” as I can walk around and I don’t have to bend over. I can also sit for some of it.

Day of Ash: Late Saturday

Ash is not a fan of being wet. At all. He actually is a dog who jumps out the back door to go do his business, and if it’s raining he will stop cold and try to run back inside. He will just hold it, for over a day if not forced to go out in it.

Which of course means you get the “Just dry me already!” looks.

Got him all dried, and then I pulled the dremel out and did his nails. Ended up getting one a touch too short and it started to bleed. As his paw was still wet, it just kept bleeding. Slow, but enough to put little dots all over the place.

Yet again, Julie comes to the rescue with the super glue and we get that all fixed up.

Of course, he doesn’t hold any of it against me.

The after bath zoomies went into effect.

Afterwards I had to run my D&D game, so Ash got to spend the rest of the day being lazy. Checking on me now and then to remind me that I have to move, but otherwise just laying around.

Kind of like when at work.

Sunday was true lazy day. I got up for a bit, but really did not feel well. So I spent most of the day in bed. Ash came in from time to time to make sure I was alive, but otherwise spent the day with the pack.
